U15 ECNL clinch Southeast Conference

Hard work and dedication by our Concorde Fire U15 ECNL team show as they win the Southeast Conference as Champions of the region and they head to the National Finals in June.  Great work, girls!

Three former Concorde players named to Soccer America All-Freshmen Teams

[SOCCER AMERICA AWARDS] Savannah Jordan, who scored 22 goals for Florida, is the 2013 Soccer America Women's Freshman of the Year.  It was Florida's highest season total since Abby Wambach scored as a senior in 2001.

The Fayetteville, GA native helped the Gators earn a top 16 seed into the NCAA Tournament.  Her success earned her a spot on the 2013 Soccer America Women's All-Freshman first team and a call-up to the US team competing in the CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Championship.  

Toni Payne, Duke, and Alison Wetherington, Portland were selected for the 2013 Soccer America Women's All-Freshman second team.

U15 ECNL head to National Championship

Congratulations to the Concorde Fire U15 ECNL team!  Late in June, the team competed in the ECNL Playoffs in Aurora, CO and secured a birth in the ECNL National Championships (Final 8 teams in the Champions League) that will be held on July 10-15, 2013 in Richmond, VA.  The team had a perfect 3-0 record in their playoff grouping.  Their balanced first-half scoring, along with tough defending, allowed them to boast a 8-1 goal differential in the 3 games.  There were 7 different goal-scorers of the 8 goals.

Three Concorde Fire U18 ECNL players called into U20 Trip to Sweden

Congratulations are in order for 3 Concorde Fire U18 ECNL players - Allison Wetherington, Toni Payne, and Jane Campbell - for being selected to the upcoming Under-20 Women’s National team trip to Gavle, Sweden on May 24-June 3, 2013.  All 3 players have been involved with our National team program over the last couple of years. This is a special call-up for Allison as she’s missed the last couple of National team camps due to injury. She’s recently been cleared to play and got the invite. Jane and Toni were members (and starters) for the US Women’s U17 World Cup in Azerbaijan back in the Fall of 2012.  This a great honor for these players, their families, their team, and the club. Congrats, Allison, Toni, and Jane!!!

Two Concorde Fire players named to the Frisco ECNL All-Event Team

Two Concorde Fire players were selected as part of the Elite Clubs National League All-Event Teams this past winter. Gabby Rivera (U15 Concorde Fire ECNL team) - Forward - helped lead her team to a 2-1 record at the event and Kenzie Winters (U17 Concorde Fire ECNL team) - Midfielder - helped lead her team to a 3-0 record at the event.  Click Here for full article.

Mikayla Krzeczowski, U15 ECNL, heads to National Camp in May

Concorde Fire’s Mikayla Krzeczowski is going into the upcoming U15 Girls US Soccer Youth National Team camp in Texas on May 5-11.  Mikayla is a Goalkeeper on the U15 Concorde Fire ECNL team and has been a common selection for Youth National team camps at this age in the last couple of years.

Sydney Lurie, U16 ECNL, called to National Camp

FRISCO, Texas (April 16, 2013) – Eighteen girls from the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) have been invited to participate in the US Youth Soccer ODP Girls 1996 National Camp, April 20-27 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The camp will coincide with the Under-18 U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team Camp, and players will be evaluated for possible participation in U.S. National Team events.  Click Here for full article.
