Regionals Recap - Sunday, June 28, 2009 Concorde Fire had a great showing at the 2009 USYSA Southern Regionals held in Dallas, TX from June 19-24, 2009.  All four teams made it out of their groups and into the Quarterfinals, more than any other club in GA.  The U14B CF South Elite, coached by Brian Moore, were group runners-up and beat the FC Atlanta Silverbacks (GA) 3-1 in the Quarterfinals.  They went to Penalty Kicks in their Semi Final match and lost to the eventual winners, CASL Elite (NC).  The U16B CF Elite, coached by Adrian Powell, also made their way to the Semi Finals by beating CESA (SC) 2-0 in the Quarterfinals and winning their group play.  They lost to the eventual winners for the second year in a row, South Charlotte Gold (NC).  The U14G CF South Elite, coached by Mac Williams, played both Finalists during their tournament.  They were knocked out in the Quarterfinals 1-0 to the Regional winners, CASL Spartans Elite (NC).  The U16G CF Elite, coached by Gregg Blasingame, also faced the same fate in the Quarterfinals.  After not losing a game in group play, they lost in a heartbreaker against GSA Phoenix Red (GA) 3-2 in overtime.  read more ...

Players Needed for U16B CF North - Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Concorde Fire is looking to add players for the upcoming 2009-2010 seasonal year for the U16 Boy's Concorde Fire North Black.  The U16B CF North Black, coached by Pete Petersen, will be a U16 Classic III team in the Fall.  Coach Petersen holds the top 2 coaching licenses in the country with a USSF "A" License and a NSCAA Premier Diploma.  He is also the Head Coach of the Clayton State University Men's Team.  If you are interested, please contact Pete Petersen at (678)5207-7931.

McCrary Brought into U17 MNT Camp - Thursday, June 11, 2009 The United States U-17 Men's National Team has been brought into Camp at Somerset, NJ from June 14-21.  Concorde Fire's Jordan McCrary is one of the 40 selected for the camp, and one of the 26 players that have come from the U.S. Soccer's Residency Program in Bradenton, FL.  McCrary is only one of seven that were born in 1993, making him one of the youngest invited to camp.  read more ...

U15B are State Cup Champs, Again - Monday, June 08, 2009 The U15 Boys Concorde Fire Elite have retained their GYSA State Cup Crown.  The team, coached by Adrian Powell, defeated NASA Elite in the Final 2-0 and will be heading to Dallas, TX for the 2009 Southern Regionals.  Concorde Fire also had 3 Finalists and 4 Semi Finalists during the State Cup Championship Weekend.  Finals Sunday began with Concorde Fire playing in the U13 Boy's, U14 Boy's, and U15 Boy's Championships all at the same time.  The U13B CF North Elite, coached by Gregg Blasingame, and U14B CF Elite, coached by Ibrahim Abousaud, were Finalists.  Then in the later game the U16G CF Elite, coached by Gregg Blasingame, were also Finalists.  The Semi Finalists from Concorde were the U14B CF South Elite, coached by Brian Moore, U14G CF South Elite, coached by Mac Williams, U16G CF Black, coached by Ken Kurilec, and the U17G CF South Elite.  Congrulations to all the teams!!  read more ...

Concorde Fire Sends 8 into Semi Finals - Wednesday, June 03, 2009 Concorde Fire will have 8 teams playing in the Championship Weekend at the GYSA State Cup Final.  As a club, Concorde Fire has the second most teams represented in the final stage of State Cup.  On Semi Final Saturday, Concorde will be playing Concorde in two seperate games when the U14 Boy's CF Elite play the CF South Elite and the U16 Girl's CF Elite match up with the CF Black.  The teams that advanced were the U13 Boy's CF North Elite, coached by Gregg Blasingame, U14 Boy's CF Elite, coached by Ibrahim Abousuad, U14 Boy's CF South Elite, coached by Brian Moore, U15 Boy's CF Elite, coached by Adrian Powell, U14 Girl's CF South Elite, coached by Mac Williams, U16 Girl's CF Elite, coached by Gregg Blasingame, U16 Girl's CF Black, coached by Ken Kurilec, and the U17 Girl's CF South Elite, coached by Brian Moore.  Good luck to all the teams this weekend!!

Concorde Fire Leaving for Man Utd Premier Cup - Wednesday, May 20, 2009 The U15 Boys Concorde Fire Elite, coached by Adrian Powell, will be heading up to Beaverton, OR for the largest youth tournament in the world.  Over 9,500 teams from around the world competed last year to earn a spot at the World Finals held in Manchester, England.  The North American Finals will be held from May 21-24, 2009.  The winner will have all their expenses paid to play in the World Finals in late July 2009 and have the chance to compete against the best youth players at the biggest professional clubs.  read more ...
