Spring 2023 Sparks & Flames

Our Sparks and Flames programs are open to players 5-8 years old and run in tandem with traditional soccer seasons (September - November and March - May).  Registration for each individual season begins approximately one month before sessions begin.

Sparks Program

The Concorde Fire Sparks program is open to all children 5-6 years old on a first come, first served basis. It is an exceptional introduction to the joys of soccer. The program concentrates on providing young players with a solid foundation in basic soccer technical skills and instilling a love of the game. This is achieved through fun and challenging exercises and small-sided games.

 

Flames Program

There are no tryouts for the 7 & 8-year-old Flames program. The Central program meets twice per week; the North and West programs meet once per week.  The sessions are divided into three sections: the first part of each session is spent working on basic soccer skills (dribbling, moving into space, head up) as a group, then players break into smaller groups to work on key concepts (passing, shooting, etc.) and finally small-sided scrimmages are played so players can begin to learn the concepts of team play and spacing. 

Registration

Interested players may register on a space-available basis.  Because we understand that many young players have other interests, which may preclude year-round participation, players may sign up for one season without committing for a full year.  

 

The all-inclusive fee covers a uniform (one jersey with player’s name on back, one pair of shorts, and one pair of socks), coaches’ salaries, league player registration fees, field maintenance, administrative fees, and a trophy for each player at the end of the season.  The fees are posted below next to the Region and Play Level.

 

PLEASE REGISTER AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS TO ENSURE A UNIFORM IS WAITING FOR YOUR PLAYER ON THE FIRST DAY.
